Piano Guild Awards

Congratulations to RSM’s students that participated in the 2016 Baltimore Chapter of Piano Guild  on May 18-21. Our students received Superior Plus, Superior Superior Minus, Excellent Plus and Excellent ratings:

  • National Winner and Sonatina Plaque Award (performed 15 memorized pieces): Kevin Chen
  • National Winner and Founder’s Plaque Award (performed 10-12 memorized pieces): Nova Grissom
  • District Winners (performed 4-6 memorized pieces):    Sean Cheng, Amaya Collins, Cecilia Cuffe, Nicholas Emig, Hunter Gmahl, Samaira Hammond, Charlize Lee, Grace Lowden, Shishir Nallar, Soraya Sharif, Sydney Smith, Danielle Spence

MSMTA Music Theory Exam – Student Achievement

Congratulations to RSM students that participated in the MSMTA theory exam this year. All students scored in the 95% percentile or above, a superior rating:

PG County Act-So Competition

 

Congratulations to RSM student, Nailah Downing, for winning First Place Gold Medals in Vocal Classical and Vocal Contemporary Music categories of the Act-So competition in Prince George’s County. She will compete in the national competition.

Howard County Act-So Competition

Congratulations to RSM student, Nova Grissom, for winning Third Place Bonze Medal in the Instrumental Music category of the Act-So competition in Howard County.

Maryland State Boy Choir Member

Congratulations to RSM student Mark Turner who was accepted into the Maryland State Boy Choir this year. This choir is an advanced choir that provides the most talented and dedicated students the opportunity to perform locally as well as tour. We are proud of Mark and his achievement.
