The 2024 Honors Performance will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, 154 West 57 Street, New York City at 1:00PM.

Audition: Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Roberson School Of Music 9198 Red Branch Road Suite E Columbia MD 21045

Video Auditions will be considered for extenuating circumstances that prevent a live audition.

Eligibility: All students must study privately with a professional instructor on the instrument of audition. Students selected for the Carnegie Hall Honors Performance must enroll in private study with a professional instructor until the performance on July 13, 2024.

Deadline: Entries must be postmarked no later than December 16, 2023. Be sure to write the full title of the composition. Applicants should include $25 application fee with this form. Applicants needing a piano accompanist must provide their own accompanist. Applicants have the option of using a RSM accompanist for the audition for a $20 fee.

Each entrant, solo or ensemble, should be prepared to perform from memory one or more compositions from the advanced standard repertoire of Baroque, Classic, Romantic or Contemporary composers as well as jazz or musical theatre selections. If performing multiple pieces, total time limit must not exceed 5 minutes. Students are required to bring their music to the audition. Only legally obtained copies will be accepted. Photocopies will not be permitted. The decisions of the judges are final.

Reports of Judge: Reports of judge will be sent to the instructor after the audition.

INSTRUCTIONS: Complete the application no later than December 16, 2023. If you are auditioning on multiple instruments, use a new form for each different instrumental or vocal audition. If you are auditioning as part of a duet or chamber music ensemble, use a new form to complete the section labeled “For duets or chamber music groups.” Include a nonrefundable $25 with each audition form.
