Mr. Nathaniel Elman

Guitarist Nate Elman has been playing the guitar for over ten years. In his early years, he was exposed to grunge and alternative rock music, which influence him to learn the guitar. Mr. Elman started as a self-taught guitarist and later had his formal training under jazz guitarist Mike Raitzyk, he graduated in 2014 with an Associate of Arts degree in Music Performance- Jazz at Howard Community College. He was honored to perform during an HCC Spotlight Recital and played his own arrangement of “Oleo” by Sonny Rollins. His performance of “So Nice (Samba de Verão)” created “a vision of a beach in Brazil” according to DC Metro Theater Arts at the Coffee House Under the Stars of the Arts Collective event. Mr. Elman also studied Jazz composition and improvisation at UMBC where he will receive his Bachelor’s Degree.
